Absolutely loved our experience at Mandarin House in Pocatello! From the moment we walked in, we were met with warm hospitality, and Kevin—our incredible server—took it to the next level. He made some bomb suggestions that turned out to be absolute perfection. Every dish was packed with authentic flavor and cooked to perfection. You can truly taste the love and tradition in the food. We left horribly stuffed and ridiculously happy—exactly how a great Chinese food outing should end! Can’t wait to come back again (and again, and again). Five enthusiastic stars!

Love it here, all foods are yummy. Great ambiance. Waitress is nice and friendly.

Service is really good here - Kevin is the best. We come here with a big family group and lots of littles, so they put us in the private dining area. Grateful they’re willing to put up with all our crazy kids. We love the fried rice and sweet & sour chicken.

This is the only place in town where I've found pork and seeds. Regrettably I haven't tried their egg rolls but also their almond chicken sauce is so bomb. It's a must try. I usually get takeout. The tables are kinda small and very together with neighbors so, not an excellent place for a girl's catch up with friends date but overall great atmosphere, great helpful employees and bomb A food. Oh and they have the perfect noodles and actual huge chunks of meat in their chow mein. Soooo so good.

We come back home 3 or 4 times a year. See family, our kids and grandkids. Kevin has always accommodated our family. And has went above and beyond to make sure that we were well taken care of thank you kevin for a wonderful experience at the restaurant.

I wrote a review 3 years ago still holds true, so nice the. Been 4 times since, I live in Atlanta, but make a special trip if I am within a 2-3 hour drive. Met Owner and staff since and , these people care about food Pocatello people you have no Idea the hidden gem you have in the mandarin house. I travel extensively for work and have Chinese food in every city I go to. Mandarin house is the best, chowmein, homemade sweet and sour, incredible egg rolls even something as simple as pork and seeds. If I lived in Pocatello I would eat here everyday . In my top 5 of all time restaurants!!

Traditional elements such as lion dances, lanterns, theatrical costumes, and traditional prints create a rich ambiance. The tables even have introductions about the restaurant and information about the city. The bill is stamped with the owner Kevin's portrait, showing great attention to detail. 2、Kevin is extremely welcoming and not only introduces the dishes but also provides information about the city. 3、Having operated for 44 years, the menu covers a wide range of cuisines, including Cantonese, Sichuan, and American-style Chinese food. While some dishes have been adjusted and adapted to local American tastes, the overall flavor remains true to Chinese cuisine. The seasoning is well-balanced, and the chef's culinary skills are impressive. Every dish we ordered exceeded my expectations. It's hard to imagine such high-quality Chinese food in a city with such a small Chinese population. 4、Thanks to Kevin's introduction, I gained some knowledge about the city. After finishing our meal, my family and I took the opportunity to visit Old Town. 5、If you are traveling back to Salt Lake City from West Yellowstone Town, this restaurant is approximately a 2-2.5 hour drive away. It is a great option for a dining stop along the way, and you will have a wonderful experience. Additionally, the prices are very pleasing, offering excellent value for money.

I had a fantastic experience at Mandarin House. The food was absolutely amazing, with rich flavors and perfect seasoning. I especially appreciated the medium spice level—it added just the right amount of heat without being overwhelming.
